# Closure Groups

### Setting a Closure Group for a Partition

{% hint style="info" %}

### Before you start

As some parameters are read from the database at application start-up, we recommend that there are no Analysts logged on when you make changes to system settings.

Ensure you are in the correct partition before applying the settings.

You must have **IPK Setup** selected in the Admin tab of your **General Access Security Role** in order to configure any IPK administration settings.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Enable Partitioning** must be selected in the Partition Settings window, and IPK Partition Settings option must be cleared.
{% endhint %}

#### Closure Group must be selected in the IPK Settings (Partitioned) window.

1. Select ≡ > **Admin** > **System Administration**.

   The System Administration window appears.

   In the Explorer pane, expand **IPK Management**.
2. Select **Closure Groups** to open the window.
3. The Partition column displays the names of all the partitions defined in the system. Identify the partition for which you want to set a closure group.
4. Using the drop down list in the Group column, select the group to which calls in that partition must be forwarded for closure. You can adjust the column widths if required.
5. Save the changes. Provide the Change Reasons if prompted to do so..
