Licensing model
The ASM Core licensing model has three elements: Alemba Service Manager™; Connectors; Analyst Licenses.
Alemba Service Manager™ Named License
Your main license key provides access to the system, including:
Asset Management
Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
Integration Platform
Knowledge Management
Self Service Portal
Service Desk
Workflow
Analyst Licenses
These licenses are required by anyone logging in to Alemba Service Manager™ as an Analyst. Those who only log in to the Self Service Portal as a User, or use the app or the Alemba API as a User, do not require licenses.
Users of the Self Service Portal
A site license is required for each instance of the production server. After you are licensed for Alemba Service Manager™, an unlimited number of Users can use the Self Service Portal. Logging in to the Self Service Portal does not consume a license.
Licensing ASM connectors
No additional licensing is required to use the connectors, logic apps, or RestFul API.
Connectors connect Alemba Service Manager™ with third party technologies, as well ASM is in the Azure ecosystem. Some connectors are provided free of charge, automatically:
Microsoft Teams/MS Teams
AD/Entra
SSO
Intune
SCOM
SCCM
Each third party connector supports a subset of use cases. For example, the Microsoft SCCM connector provides the ability to connect to Microsoft SCCM for discovery and population of the Federated CMDB.
Each third party connector not listed above is independently licensed. See the ASM Connector Matrix for a list of supported connectors. Contact your Alemba® Account Manager for more information on licensing for other connectors.
