# Licensing model

## **Alemba Service Manager™ Named License**

Your main license key provides access to the system, including:

* Asset Management
* Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
* Integration Platform
* Knowledge Management
* Self Service Portal
* Service Desk
* Workflow

## Analyst Licenses

These licenses are required by anyone logging in to Alemba Service Manager™ as an Analyst or External Contact. Those who only log in to the Self Service Portal as a User, or use the app or the Alemba API as a User, do not require licenses.

{% hint style="info" %}
You cannot log into ASM Core and Nano at the same time, as they both occupy licenses – see [**ASM Person Licenses**](https://docs.alemba.com/asm-hermes-10.6.8/setup-and-configure-asm/licensing/asm-person-licenses) for more information.
{% endhint %}

## Users of the Self Service Portal

A site license is required for each instance of the production server. After you are licensed for Alemba Service Manager™, an unlimited number of Users can use the Self Service Portal. Logging in to the Self Service Portal does not consume a license.

## Licensing ASM connectors

{% hint style="success" %}
No additional licensing is required to use the connectors, logic apps, or RestFul API.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
For older versions of ASM (*before version 10.x*), please contact your account manager for information on legacy connectors.

All customers who have previously purchased the ASM Core connectors (single or multi-source) are entitled to the corresponding connectors in ASM Core.
{% endhint %}

Connectors connect Alemba Service Manager™ with third party technologies, as well [ASM is in the Azure ecosystem](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/alembaitsm/). Some connectors are provided free of charge, automatically:

* Microsoft Teams/MS Teams
* AD/Entra
* SSO
* Intune
* SCOM
* SCCM

Each third party connector supports a subset of use cases. For example, the Microsoft SCCM connector provides the ability to connect to Microsoft SCCM for discovery and population of the Federated CMDB.

Each third party connector not listed above is independently licensed. See the [ASM Connector Matrix ](https://docs.alemba.com/asm-hermes/integrate/managing-integration/connectors-to-asm-core/connector-matrix)for a list of supported connectors. Contact your Alemba® Account Manager for more information on licensing for other connectors.
