Select Default to use the default parent (higher) or child to use lower resource types.
Clear Default to map other parent or child resource types. Then add the resource type mapping you wish to use when applying this link type mapping: In either the Parent or Child text area, click Add. The labels for these fields will update to reflect the link type. In the Add Fields window, select the resource types you wish to map. To remove a mapping, select the entry and click Remove.
Fields
This tab view allows you to map the link type attributes to link type details in ASM Core. This is done through adding these as fields from the Link Type Details window in ASM Core, and specifying values for them.
Click Add.
In the Add Fields window, select the fields you wish to map. You can specify many CMDB link type details, including the impact relationship (Impacts Upper, Impacts Lower), overriding the impact (Impact Overriden), and link status. Click OK to return to the table where the selected link type details now appear. The Internal Fields column displays the name of the link type property.
Click in the Link Field column to enable the button. Click it and select an option. These options are specific to the field type. Selecting (Value) enables you to specify or pick a value for the field from a defined list.
If you add the Link Status field and select (Value) from the field selector, the next tier in the field select list displays all the link statuses defined in the CMDB Link Statuses window.
If you add the Impacts Upper field and select (Value) from the field selector, the next tier displays True and False, since this is a Boolean field type (checkbox).
Select the status you wish to use by double-clicking.
To remove an added link type field, select the entry in the table and click Remove. In the warning dialog box, select Yes or No.
