The Dashboard Management tab on the Self Service Portal Role window enables you to assign access to selected Dashboards and place category security for a portal role.

The Dashboard Management tab on the Self Service Portal Role window enables you to assign access to selected Dashboards and place category security for a portal role.

Users with this role will then only be able to see dashboards and categories on the Self Service Portal granted to their role.
Select ≡ > Admin > System Administration. The System Administration window appears.
In the Explorer pane, expand Self Service Portal. Select Self Service Portal Roles to open the window.
Select the New icon to create a new role, or the Action icon to update an existing role.
If you are creating a new role, enter the name in the Role Name field.
Select the Dashboard Management tab.
Select the Dashboards security option. This enables the two tables in this window.
If you do not select this checkbox, Users with this role will not have access to any Dashboards.
Users with Dashboards will be able to see all dashboards. To Restrict the dashboards published to the portal, enable Category Security.
Select the Category Security option.
This option is not available until Dashboards is selected.
If you do not select this checkbox, Users with this role will have access to Dashboards in all categories.
To give the role access to a category, select it from the Select Category list, and then select Add.
You can select more than one category using the Ctrl and Shift keys.
To give the role access to all of the categories, select Add All or uncheck the category security checkbox.
To remove access to a category, select it in the Selected Categories list and then select Remove.
To remove access to all of the categories, select Remove All.
Select the Save icon to save the changes and close the window.
Provide the Change Reasons if prompted to do so. Alternatively, select another tab, if appropriate.
