Select the Menu button, then Admin, then select System Administration.
The System Administration window appears.
Expand the Security Roles group in the Explorer pane, scrolling up if necessary.
Select the Dashboard Role from the list in the Explorer pane. A browse table displays all of the existing roles of this type. Now you can create, update or rename a Dashboard security role.
The pre-defined role All typically has all role options selected. However, some of the options are not selected by default and you should explore the permissions set before assigning the role.
If you want to create a role, select the Plus icon and assign the role a name in the Role Name field.
To view or update a role, select the role in the browse table and select the Action Icon.
You can specify whether the analysts with this role can have access to Dashboards, Dashboards Designer, and if security should be enabled.
This option will perform a sync between Sync Fusion and the Application.
To enable security, that is, to control access to dashboards, enable Security by ticking the check box by Security.
Select the categories you wish to grant access and either double-click to add the category or select the Add to List box.
Dashboards
This option either enables or disables all access to dashboards and associated menu options
Designer
This option enables Analysts with this role to access the dashboard designer. It will allow them full access to create, edit or delete dashboards
Security
This option provides analysts access to specific dashboards. If unchecked, analysts with either the Dashboards and/or Designer boxes enabled will have access to all dashboards in the system.
