Displaying Outages

You need to have Browse Outages selected in your Availability Management security role to display outages.
Select ≡ and then Search and from the submenu select Outages .
The Outage Search window appears. This window is divided into two panes. You can select the criteria for the search in the left pane, and the results are displayed in the right pane.
Filter your search using the search criteria in the Outage Search Criteria pane.

If these criteria are not sufficient, you can select the button at the top of the Outage Search Criteria pane and configure your search criteria to include more or different criteria.
Select Search to display the matching outages in the browse table in the results pane. Clear Form clears any selections to allow you to make a different search.
The search results are displayed in a browse table. You can adjust the column widths if required.
From the browse results table you can carry out further actions. As well as the standard buttons, you can select to view the linking diagram associated with the outage.
You can also view outages for a CMDB item by viewing the Availability details for the item. Outages for a CMDB item appear in the Outage tab.
You can display all planned and unplanned outages that are currently running using the View option on the menu. Closed outages are not displayed.

Select ≡ and then View. From the submenu, select Current Outages. This opens up the Current Outages window. The details are displayed in a browse table. You can adjust the column widths if required.
Filter the displayed outages as necessary, using the options in the left hand pane.
Linked entities are calls, requests or tasks that are linked to the outage.
To view the linked entities for an outage:
Display the Current Outages window.
Select the current outage for which you want to view the linked entities.
Select . The Outage Quick Search – Linked Entities window appears. The table displays all the entities that are linked to the current outage.
To view details of an entity, select from the Quick Search - Linked Entities window. The Details window for the selected entity appears.
